The SECS Committee was set up with members from Glasgow Caledonian University's (GCU) Archive Centre and Yunus Centre for Social Business and Health; the Centre for the Social History of Health and Health Care (GCU and University of Strathclyde); and Community Enterprise in Scotland. The Committee met four times a year to discuss all activities relating to the Social Enterprise Collection (Scotland), of which the Scottish Government funded project was one strand. Regular agenda items include cataloguing and preservation work; discussions around donations of material to the Archive Centre; social media outputs; oral history interviews; exhibitions, events and workshops planned and completed; John Pearce Memorial Lecture; funding; committee membership.
During phase 1 the workshop was delivered in GCU Archive Centre on 6 December 2019 for GCU PhD researchers and on 21 January 2020 for third sector researchers.

The SECS Committee was supported by an Advisory Group, made up of individuals within the social and community enterprise movement in Scotland, who met annually to discuss all activities relating to the Social Enterprise Collection (Scotland), of which the Scottish Government funded project was one strand. Agenda items include Scottish Government funding for development of the Social Enterprise Collection (Scotland); collection catalogues; SECS website and social media; donations to the collection; areas of focus for research; travelling exhibition materials and suggested venues and events to target; approaches for future Scottish Government funding and other sources of funding.

The history of social enterprise in Scotland exhibition was displayed at 3 of the Week's events: the John Pearce memorial lecture held at Glasgow Caledonian University on 3 September; CEiS SE policy and practice conference held at Radisson Blu on 4 September; Social Enterprise Marketplace held at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on 5 September 2019.

These images represent a selection of photos of Scottish social enterprises taken by Becky Duncan from 2009-2018. They were collated for the 'Ten years of social enterprise work' exhibition for Social Enterprise World Forum in Edinburgh on 12-14 September 2018, supported by Community Enterprise in Scotland (CEiS). The photobook was created to accompany the exhibition. Some of the photographs were commissioned directly by the featured organisation for their communications materials, others requested by social enterprise support agencies such as Firstport, Social Enterprise Scotland, Community Enterprise, Social Enterprise Networks and various funders. Six examples of these digital images have been provided at item level.

Most of the books were student copies which were added to the College library. Many of them have annotations and additional recipes handwritten in the notes section. Although the 2009 centenary edition was published under the auspices of Glasgow Caledonian University, it has been included in this collection to keep the sets of editions together. The set is not complete as some editions were not kept by the College.

New Sector magazine, issue 64, October/November 2004
New Sector, the magazine of community and co-operative enterprise, started up when CBSN ceased publishing Community Business News. It was a joint publication by CBSN, Community Enterprise UK (CE-UK) and the Industrial Common Ownership Movement (ICOM) covering the UK. The first issue was published in April/May 1992. The magazine was available free to CBSN members or by annual subscription. Publication ceased in 2009 with issue 84.
