To mark the College centenary celebrations the governors opened a subscription fund to raise money to sponsor flats and lounges in residential complexes for the elderly through the Help the Aged (Scottish Housing) Trust (latterly the Bield Housing Trust). A total of £1,832.71 was donated to sponsor 3 flats and 2 lounges in Greenock, Johnstone, Knightswood and Dowanhill.

International Federation for Home Economics

This series consists of 5 sub-series:

The 1st International Congress on Home Economics was held in Fribourg, Switzerland, in October 1908. It was attended by 750 delegates, representing 20 countries, who had all come together to share knowledge and experience in the field of Home Economics, and look at the development and promotion of training for its teachers. It was very successful in enabling the exchange of ideas between nations and led to the International Federation for Home Economics (IFHE) being founded during the Congress. Subsequent International Congresses were held every four, or more, years. Isobel Gibson, Principal of the Glasgow and West of Scotland College of Domestic Science (GWSCDS), became its acting President in 1958, and then elected President from 1959 to 1963.

Most of the books were student copies which were added to the College library. Many of them have annotations and additional recipes handwritten in the notes section. Although the 2009 centenary edition was published under the auspices of Glasgow Caledonian University, it has been included in this collection to keep the sets of editions together. The set is not complete as some editions were not kept by the College.

Staff and students were actively involved in a campaign to persuade the Minister for Education, Mr Michael Forsyth, and Members of Parliament that the College should not be forced to operate on a split site with Jordanhill College but should have a single site, ideally at Eldon Street and Park Drive. On 18 January 1988 Michael Forsyth visited the College and met with many staff and students to hear their proposals.
